Cine Cinemas & Lab is another great movie-going experience in the city of Athens. It’s a restored, historic venue that screens independent, international and documentary films as well as small-releases and special events. Lastly, Athens is also known for its music scene, and the city has nurtured some of the best rock bands around. REM and the B-52’s put Athens on the map in the 1980s, and it has since played host to countless other bands.
